When you’re entering the pinball section on the Fort William World Cup downhill track, or you’re flying blind on the most demanding enduro terrain at an Enduro World Series race, there’s no time to be thinking about your wheels. Deemax is designed to absorb big hits and perform flawlessly on the roughest terrain, giving pros and weekend warriors alike the confidence to push their limits.
Developed with input from our top pro athletes, this is one of the most durable wheelsets ever produced for hardcore gravity riders. It has been put to the test over and over again and recently delivered DH pros Laurie Greenland and Marine Cabirou to their first World Cup wins on the deadly Black Snake Track in Val di Sole, Italy. The alloy rims feature a 28mm internal width with a triangular shape that helps absorb big impacts—from hard-hammering rocks to hard landings and big compressions. Our Black Shied treatment gives them a distinctive finish and protects the rims against impacts and scratches. We chose a classical J-bend spoke construction using 28 steel spokes (same spoke length throughout), double-butted and bladed for the perfect balance of vertical compliance and strength to handle the abuses of aggressive gravity riding.
The hubs benefit from our strongest bearings and the rear features the ultra-reliable ID360 double ratchet system for fast engagement to help you accelerate out of the corners. It’s set up for either Boost or DH hub spacing and has 6-bolt disc mounts. It’s available for Shimano HG9, XD and Micro Spline freewheel bodies in 27.5” and 29”. The wheels include UST tubeless valves, spare spokes and accessories.
